We are accredited under BS EN ISO 20387:2020+A11:2024 "Biotechnology — Biobanking — General requirements for biobanking" by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service ('UKAS') customer (number 31342). UKAS is the national accreditation body and our notified body.
Oxford BioVault intends to extension its accreditations to include ISO 17025 to bring additional testing within scope. This will be relevant to any testing performed on behalf of biobank customers. may require. Urinalysis is already in scope under 20387.
Our parent company, Serox Limited, needed to develop a secure biobank service for its R&D.
When our clinical partners saw the facility we had created, they asked if they could use it and this has organically developed into a stand-alone service for the Oxford life science cluster.
